Illness Policy

Keep your child home for a minimum of 24 hours if they have one of the following symptoms, or combination of symptoms, of illness:

• Diarrhea (more than one abnormally loose, runny, watery or bloody stool)
• Vomiting (any)
• Fever over 100 degrees F taken under the arm
• Severe cough
• Unusual yellow color to skin or eyes
• Skin or eye lesions or rashes that are severe, weeping, or pus-filled
• Stiff neck and headache with one or more of the symptoms listed above
• Difficult breathing or abnormal wheezing; or
• Complaints of severe pain

Classroom Preventative Measures

• Strict rules
• NO ONE TOUCHES EYES EARS NOSE OR MOUTH!!!!
• Wash hands if exposed
• Cover a Sneeze or Cough with arm / sleeve
• No sick teachers - PERIOD!  Extra subs are available.
• Bleach solution is used to clean all surfaces. 
• Door-knobs, phones, all toys, garbage cans, top and bottoms of chairs and tables, everything!
• All rugs are washed weekly
• All books sprayed / hand washed
• Dolls and stuffed animals sprayed / hand washed
• No sick children are admitted - PERIOD!
